Conventional signs 



In the statistical tables the following conventional signs are used: 




Dash (  ) 
a) when the phenomenon does not exist; 


b) when the phenomenon exists and is recorded, but no case occurred. 




Two dots ( .. ) 
For numbers not reaching the half of the figure relative to the minimum rank considered. 




Gate ( # ) 
When the value is defined by a ratio and the denominator is equal to zero. 






Percentage compositions 




Percentage compositions are automatically rounded off to two decimals. The total of the percentage values thus calculated can result not equal to 100.
